Burning the Second Session
Burning the First Session:
If you have an Audio track as the first track: Open Up Toast (I would use Toast 4.0 as the audio displays differently in each version) Now select Audio CD and grab your AIFF file that you have just converted and drag it to Toast. If you have more than 1 Audio track drag all of them to toast. It should come up with the track time and so on.
Now click Write CD and when it asks choose "Write Session". It will take a few minutes and then you will have the first session done. So eject the disc and read on.
*If your game has an Unpack.exe file please refer to the CDI Conversion guide which covers conversion and burning instructions for this type of file.
If you have an ISO track as the first track: Open Up Toast and select Multitrack CD-ROM XA and grab your First ISO track and drag it to the window.
Now click Write CD and when it asks choose "Write Session". It will take a few minutes and then you will have the first session done. So eject the disc and read on.
*Please don't worry if the first ISO is quite large, it is possible that the first session can be larger than the second, and also in regards to audio it is common if a game has more than 1 track that it is stored in the first session. Also if an nfo says it needs an 80 minute cd (even if the data will fit on a 74 min) use an 80 minute cd*
Burning the Second Session: Close that toast window and start it up again. Select the Multitrack CD-ROM XA (make sure it hasn't got "audio tracks" underneath) and drag your ISO to the window. It should accept it, if not you have a problem. It will be 2056 bytes/sector and then click ok to go back to the main Toast window.
Now just write the CD and when it asks choose "Write Disc" as you don't want a session.
If in the advent you have audio as the second session, please just burn as a normal audio cd.
After it has finished, it should boot. If it doesn't you may want to check and see if you need to use Cut Track to make the Audio track smaller if your burner is adding an extra 2 sectors.
To use Cut track simply drop your audio file onto the app. It will then cut the last 2 sectors off the end. Drop the Audio file onto Toast 5.0 or later and it will report the file as corrupt, this is ok as it will convert it for you. If you are using anything below Toast 5.0 you will have to convert the file your self in Quicktime using the "Export to aiff" command.
